Shaw and Stratford Theatre Festivals

This tour concentrates specifically on plays performed in the theatre, including four at the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on- the-Lake and four at the Stratford Festival. Also included will be excursions by coach to Niagara Falls, a Mennonite market near Kitchener, and to the McMichael Collection of Canadian Art in Kleinberg. There will be plenty of time for strolling and shopping in the charming little town of Niagara-on-the-Lake and walks by the river in Stratford.

Michael Booth

Michael Booth, Profes- sor Emeritus, was Chair of the Depart- ment of Theatre at the University of Victoria from 1984 to 1995. Before that he spent eight years as founding Chairman of the Department of Theatre Stud- ies at the University of Warwick in England, and has wide and varied experience of the British theatre. He was educated at Victoria College, the University of British Columbia, and the University of London, where he received his PhD in 1958. Dr. Booth has been the academic resource on eight theatre tours to Britain and Ireland, and our 2010 tour to the Shaw and Stratford Theatre Festivals.
