Professional Specialization Certificate in Population Health Data Analysis

Entrance Requirements

In order to be accepted into this program prospective students must have an undergraduate degree, a minimum of 2 years working experience in the field of Public Health or a combination of education and experience and approval from the Chair of the Steering Committee, and successful completion of an introductory statistics course at the undergraduate or graduate level (or equivalent).

Details

Start Dates:

Courses will be offered each term (Sept-Dec, January-April, May- August).  Students may enter the program at any time as long as  pre-requisites for entry into the course are met.

Program Length:

Each course is 36 hours in duration.  An optional orientation module will be offered on-line prior to the start of each course. During the first year of delivery, it is anticipated that four courses will be offered between September 2011 and August 2012. Students choosing to select these first four offerings will be able to complete the certificate in one calendar year.

Fees:

  • Program Application Fee:  $120
  • Tuition Fee:  $1250 per course
  • Tuition fee if not enrolled in the program:  $1400

Data access/materials fees:  Data fee for the SRE/per course: $125; one-time access key for the SRE: $100; books/additional materials:  may be required for some courses

Graduation Fee:  $40 (This fee is payable prior to issuance of a program certificate and transcripts).  Only students who have applied for the program and successfully completed 4 courses as per the requirements will be eligible for graduation.All fees are tax deductible.
