Admission to the Public Relations Diploma Program

You must apply to the program in order to take a course.

You’ll need one of the following to be eligible for admission:

NOTE: There is a $60 non-refundable application fee.

International students - English language requirement

International students must also meet the requirements above. In addition, applicants whose first language is not English must submit proof of English proficiency (TOEFL iBT a score of 90 or higher; 233 computerized version; 575 paper version). Registration

How to register

Online

Visit the courses page to select your course(s) and register online.

Email

You can register for our courses by email. Email us at register@uvcs.uvic.ca, providing all information requested on the main registration form <link>, including credit card details, course name, and course code. If you have a UVic student number, please provide it.

Phone

To register by phone, please call (250) 472-4747 or (250) 721-6129 weekdays, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.

Fax

Print and fill out the PDF version of our registration form and fax it to (250) 721-8774.

In person

Come to the Continuing Studies reception on the 2nd floor of the Continuing Studies Building. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, weekdays.

Payment methods

Credit cards

We accept credit card payments by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express only.

Cheques

Cheques will be accepted for mail registrations. Please make cheques payable to University of Victoria.

Withdrawals and refunds

You need to notify the Continuing Studies office within six calendar days after the first class to withdraw from courses in this program without penalty.

A $60 administration fee will be charged for processing. No refunds will be given after six calendar days. You will receive a “W” on your transcript.

NOTE: You will receive an “F” on your transcript if you do not notify us of your course withdrawal
