Below you will find information pertaining to admission and registration in our various programs, refund policies, as well as links to application forms. French Language Programs are open to any adult. No formal educational prerequisite or previous knowledge of the language is necessary. If you are a true beginner, you may register for level 1 of the FLDP or FLCC program in September, or the total beginner level of the FLCC program in January, without testing.

All other new students require a level assessment, which is scheduled in early September for the fall session, and in early January for the spring session. Please phone +1 250-721-8630 in August/September or December/January to arrange a date and time. Some tests may be scheduled after these dates if necessary. When you have been given your level, you can select the most suitable class from our timetable according to availability. Register early as some classes fill up quickly.

If you wish to register immediately and pay by credit card, an online registration form will automatically be generated. Otherwise stop by in person to register (2nd floor, Continuing Studies Building, UVic), or contact us to be sent the printed brochure. If a re-evaluation is recommended, proceed as for new students.
Registrants who notify Continuing Studies of their withdrawal in writing during the first two weeks of classes will be charged CAD$50 and refunded the balance of their fee upon return of the original receipt issued to them. There will be no refunds for anyone withdrawing from a course after the second week of classes.
There are two steps for registering your child for the Summer Fun en Français Day Camp:
Once our office receives the preliminary application form, we will forward a Detailed Program Registration Form to be completed and to be returned to us along with your payment. Please note that registration will only be complete upon receipt of the final payment.
In case of serious illness or cancellation of the program, a full refund will be given. Otherwise, cancellation notice of two working days before the beginning of the session is required and CAD$15 of the fee is non-refundable. There will be no refunds after that point.
