You are required to complete 6 units (equivalent to four 1.5 unit courses) of elective credit chosen from the wide selection of cross-cultural related courses available in the University Calendar.
While elective courses can be tailored to meet your learning needs and interests and chosen from a range of faculties or departments, your IET elective courses should focus on issues concerning cross or intercultural communication, diversity, equity, fairness, or comparative studies of culture, gender, ethnicity, political, social, or economic conditions.
Electives to be used towards the program must be approved by the IET program coordinator or director and you are expected to contact the IET Program Coordinator before registering in any course to discuss whether credit from potential courses will be able to be used toward your IET electives.
