Diploma students pay a one-time application fee, and an annual fee to the Diploma Program and a one-time application fee to the University. These fees are both income tax deductible:
There are also tuition fees to pay, and these are charged at the beginning of every term on a per course basis. Therefore, the total amount will depend upon the number of units you plan to take. These fees are also income tax deductible. The current tuition for a single semester course (1.5 units) is:
Each term in which you take a course you will also pay student fees, which entitle you to take advantage of many UVic benefits. Student fees currently amount to a minimum of CAD$150, but may go higher depending upon the number of courses you are taking.
The Dental and Extended health plans are mandatory for students taking two or more courses per term, but an opt-out scheme is available for those who already belong to such benefit plans. There is also an option for non-Victoria residents to opt-out of the bus pass.
