There are several parking lots for use around the campus, however all vehicles parked between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm weekdays must display a valid parking permit. Permits are available through Campus Services. Daily/hourly parking permits can be purchased through campus directories; limited metered parking is also available for visitors. User-pay parking is available in all main campus lots 24 hours / day from Monday to Saturday. There is no charge for parking on Sunday or Statutory Holidays.
At the Ian Stewart Complex and University Centre Parkade, pay parking is in effect 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

With the exception of a few of the certificate programs that involve credit courses through the main UVic campus, courses offered through Continuing Studies are non-credit, meaning one cannot utilize these courses as credit toward a degree program.

The majority of courses offered take place on University grounds, however some are offered through the distance learning online and Salt Spring Island.
The Division of Continuing Studies does not offer discounts to seniors, students, faculty or faculty spouses. However, bursaries are available.
Most textbooks can be purchased at the bookstore or online. With the exception of the language courses and some of the music programs, course material is not included in the initial cost. For more information about textbooks, contact the program area in which you've applied.

Your UVCS online account allows you to register for courses online and update your personal information from anywhere in the world, provided you have an internet connection. You can login or create a new account quickly and easily.
Logging into your account is easy; just use the link in the top right corner of the page labeled "Student Login". Once at the login screen, enter your username and password and click the "Login" button.
If you are trying to login to your online account and you don't have a password, chances are you have not yet set up an account. Go to "Don't have an account? Register here" and enter your information to create an account. You will be asked to create a username and password. From this point on, your new username and password will be what you use to access your student record.
