Who registers for “Health and Helping Professional” courses?

The Health and Helping Professional courses are designed for those working in a health field that requires registration with a professional organization. These include doctors, pharmacists, nurses, LPNs, physiotherapists, and other health professionals.

Who registers for “General Health” courses?

The General Health courses are for anyone wanting up-to-date information on a wide range of health related topics. The instructors are professionals and experts within the community and have designed their courses to be appealing at a general interest level.

Can I use these courses for continuing education credits with my professional association?

Our courses are designed to reflect the latest research on relevant topics that in many cases can be used for continuing education credits (CECs) within a professional organization. Please check with your association to ensure that the course can be used toward obtaining CECs.

How are the courses delivered?

Courses are instructor based and usually held on campus. Courses are typically scheduled weekday evenings and occasionally during the day on weekends. Please see course schedule <link> and registration <link> for details. We’ll include the room locations on your registration receipt.

How do I submit a course proposal?

Course proposals can be submitted to the Program Coordinator.

Who are the instructors?

Our course instructors are professionals in the community with expertise in a particular area and a passion for sharing their knowledge. Each instructor must submit a course proposal and resume, which is viewed by an advisory committee to ensure a high standard of educational quality.
