This program is for intermediate to advanced-level students of English who require a TOEFL score for admission into a North American university or college, and would like to be better prepared for this exam. It is taught by experienced instructors using the latest TOEFL preparation software and textbooks. Students also learn test-taking strategies for the new interntet-based (iBT) TOEFL.
This intensive program features internet-based TOEFL (iBT) preparation software and textbooks, test-taking strategies and practice examinations. Students may complete this 4-week program in order to do the TOEFL exam in their home country or at UVic's TOEFL testing centre (exam not included in program fee).
Students will receive a progress report and a Certificate of Participation at the end of the program. This is not a credit course and does not guarantee admission to the University of Victoria.
This is a full-time, 4-week program covering the 5 main components of the TOEFL Exam:
At the beginning of the program, all students write an English Proficiency Test and participate in an oral interview to determine program eligibility.
