COURSE INFORMATION

Spiritual Intelligence and Learning

CACE 0.5 elective credit

Only offered face-to-face at UVic

This course will introduce you to spiritual intelligence and reveal ways in which you can integrate it into your work. Learn what scientists and scholars are discovering about the brain, learning, and spiritual intelligence. Identify your gifts and learn how you can enrich your teaching and learning. Learn how you can help others discover and develop their gifts and pursue their passions.  You’ll leave this course with a passel of practical ideas on how to inspire others to access their spiritual intelligence so they can articulate and manifest their callings and realize their dreams.

Objective

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• explain what spiritual intelligence is
• identify and appreciate ways in which SI influences learning
• consider the relationship between SI and emotional and multiple intelligence
• analyze and evaluate scientists’ and scholars’ research on SI
• discern their (students’) capabilities and goals
• articulate their (students’) views and values regarding SI
• assess the role and potential of SI in organizations
• link learning, teaching and spiritual intelligence
• develop strategies for fostering the development of others’ SI
• integrate SI into their (student’s) teaching and other work
