Project Management for Educators and Trainers

CACE 0.5 elective credit

Only offered face-to-face at UVic

This workshop is designed for professionals who are involved in the planning, implementation, and management of training and education projects. Participants will be guided through the phases of project management, including defining stakeholder needs, creating project plans, producing proposals, developing team work schedules and statements of work, identification of resource and budget requirements to support the project, how to effectively manage a project team, how to assess and minimize project risk, how to create and implement project and product quality controls, and finally how to close out a completed project.

Objective

After completing the workshop, participants will be able to:

• effectively manage the following so that they are completed on time, within budget, produce high quality products and result in products or services that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • instructional design,

  • multimedia,
  • performance improvement and
  • other high technology projects
