Program Planning in Adult Education

Identify and examine the planning procedures and strategies which result in efficient and effective programs for adults learning in a wide variety of social and institutional settings. Develop basic skills or enhance and redefine your current skill levels.
Objective
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
- discuss the approach, abilities and impact of the program planner on the program planning process
- describe influences inside and outside an organization and analyze impact on the program planning process
- design and provide a rationale for an effective program planning model
- describe motivating factors that influence program development and participation
- explain the importance of effective program planning marketing strategies
- identify the importance and methodologies of evaluation in program planning
- demonstrate appropriate communication and interpersonal skills in a program planning context
