E-learning: Strategy and Planning

CACE 0.5 elective credit

Only offered face-to-face at UVic.

Understand the history of e-learning and its impacts on workplace learning. Learn to identify the critical success factors for introducing e-learning, and how to design, implement and sustain a comprehensive organization-wide e-learning strategy, including the selection of appropriate technologies. This workshop for training professionals will be fast paced, fun and highly participatory to address participant interests and concerns.

Objective

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• Understand the forces that are shaping today’s workplace, their implications on adult learning and development, and their influence on e-learning
• Describe the essence of a sound e-learning strategy, its key components, and the role it plays in today’s workplace
• Identify the critical success factors for introducing e-learning
• Design, implement and sustain a comprehensive organizational-wide e-learning strategy
